Animal Rights
Food Industry
It is estimated that between 14 and 50 million animals are used in experiments each year
The exact numbers are unknown because scientists don't have to report the number of birds, reptiles, and rodents used.
50% of animals used in testing will
die within three weeks of the experiment
Many of the cruel tests performed on animals for the sake of testing the products are completely irrelevant. The tests are not required by law and the test's usually don't pertain to humans
You could be sold a product that blinded a rabbit
Green washing
To mislead, cover up, or gloss over damaging facts by appealing to environmental values
Many environmental groups use peoples donations to support activities harmful to animals and the environment
Animal Experimentation
Another word for this is vivisection; it is a terrible procedure which could involve dissection of live animals and other such obtrusive techniques.
Every second another animal is killed in an American laboratory. That is more than in Japan, where it is every two seconds; and the UK, where it is every twelve seconds.

I abhor vivisection. It should at least be curbed. Better, it should be abolished. I know of no achievement through vivisection, no scientific discovery that could not have been obtained without such barbarism and cruelty. The whole thing is evil.
-Dr. Charles Mayo, founder of the Mayo Clinic
The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated. Vivisection is the blackest of all crimes that man is at present committing against God and his fair creation.
-Mahatma Gandhi
One dermatology group, known as Evocutis, has come up with an alternative plan to animal testing. They create fake human skin to be used in animal testing laboratories, and ship it to whatever lab purchases it. They were founded in 2003, and call their helpful product LabSkin.
Many times to improve hygiene a cows tail is cut off.
Male chickens are not much value for laying eggs
Chickens are made to grow so quickly, that they reach market weight between 6-7 weeks
Standing on the hard unnatural floor, takes a toll
on the pig's feet
Also, computer models and other complicated alternatives to animal testing are conducted by scientists at private companies, universities, and government agencies everyday.
Chickens are the most abused farm animals.
Female chickens get a portion of their beaks
