Igor Stravinsky Igor Stravinsky's Life Dates Igor Stravinsky was born on June 17,1882 in Oranienbaum,Russia. He died on April 6,1971 in New York City,Usa.He died when he was 88 and he died because of Pneumonia.If Igor Stravinsky was still alive he would be about 131 years old (2013-1882=131).When Igor Stravinsky was 24, he married his cousin and childhood friend, Catherine Nossenko.He had 4 children-two daughters and two sons.His four children were Soulina,Maria Milena. Igor Stravinsky In 1905 he was betrothed to his cousin Yekaterina Gabrielova Nossenko, whom he had known since early childhood.Igor Stravinsky was married twice!!!They also had two other children named Ludlima and Fyodor. In 1914, Stravinsky and his family packed some things from their river side home and moved to Clarens, Switzerland for the winter. They never saw their home again. In 1917, the Russian Revolution cut them off from their homeland, properties, possessions, and income. It was a troubled time, but Stravinsky and his family had many friends in the arts community. Igor Stravinsky's Influential Identity Igor Stravinsky was a very influential composer.He was known to be the most influential composer of the 20the century.He had a very essential identity.
