What could have caused it to happen?
• Who:

Nick Clegg, David Cameron, Labour and The Lib Dem.

• What:
Nick Clegg stated that looking forward for the year of 2016 the public sector wages would increase in real terms and they shall be spared from wage cuts due to Liberal Democrat plans, this if the deficit the UK is going through is already dealt with.

• Why:
Nick Clegg expressed that the public sector has suffered enough and that they deserve to have their wages back to normal balances by the year of 2016.

• Where:

• How:
The Conservative government will produce an extra 600,000 free childcare places, Labour is investing in cancer diagnosis equipment, and the wage of the parliament is decreased since the Labour manifesto states that the budget should go to those with the lower income.
During the year of 2007 and 2008 there was a financial crisis inside of England that contributed in the recent inflation that the UK is going through as also the deficit that has been present in the country. Also as the wage rate increased so did the unemployment rate and this caused discomfort in England's population.

Its prioritary mission is to create a lasting progressive future social, political and economical future for the British.

The prime minister pledges more good things that will benefit the workers with young children if he returns into the power but the other parties like the Labor and Liberal party disagree in the way he will do it and are planning to to it different.

He said he will put approximately 600,000 new free childcare places so the parents can go to work. It would be funded by reducing tax relief on pension contributions.

David Cameron, the prime minister and the Conservative party

He have had more experience because he is the current prime minister and he knows what has always being a struggle. With this proposal he says that will make a huge difference and he wants return to the power so he can make possible this idea even though the other parties do not believe in it.
Cameron pledged this because the government noticed that the families are having trouble because they need to go to work so the only choice is to pay for a childcare which cost a lot so it provoking that they were lack of money.
This proposal was criticized by the other parties. Indeed the Labor and the liberal party a similar idea but they have a different way of handling the idea.
For example the Liberal party wants to early-years education too.
David Cameron
He is the leader of the Conservative party of Britain and won the election of prime minister in 2010.
Cameron is important because is the one who is pledging this new free childcare places and is worried about the citizens of the country. He is proposing many ideas so he could won and make them possible.

Relationship: Political Parties
Elections are heading and every single contestant is preparing for it. They are making pledges in which they explain what they will do if elected and actually help people, but it is merely a way to win voters, to have a good image
this social class owns a low economical lever as well as a low social and cultural capital.
Traditional working class:
the average age is older than the other classes. They are low on the three capitals although they are not the poorest.
Emergent service workers:
This new class has low economic capital but has high levels of 'emerging' cultural capital and high social capital. This group are young and often found in urban areas.
Technical Middle Class:
This is a new, small class with high economic capital but seem less culturally engaged. They have relatively few social contacts and so are less socially engaged.
New Affluent Workers:
This class has medium levels of economic capital and higher levels of cultural and social capital. They are a young and active group.
Established Middle Class:
Members of this class have high levels of all three capitals although not as high as the Elite. They are a gregarious and culturally engaged class.
This is the most privileged class in Great Britain who have high levels of all three capitals. Their high amount of economic capital sets them apart from everyone else.

SNP threatens to block defence spending unless Trident is scrapped
What could have caused it to happen?
SNP is a party that wants more rights for Scotland and for the United Kingdom, not only for England, but they strongly disagree with the use of many taxes and with the government spending money in things they consider irrelevant. (Steven Swinford, 2015)

Why do they need a nuclear program if not for war? If the UK really has no interest in any conflicts why is it necesary a defense
Britain's election: rise of Scottish and English nationalists threatens old order
What could have caused it to happen?

April 6, and the elections are on May 7, 2015

With the upcoming elections, England is being threatened to go back to a government as the one they many years ago where politicians only seek the highest position, which is the prime minister, who has in his hands a great political power.

Voters are bailing on the two main parties, the Conservatives and Labour.

The Conservative prime minister and his Labour challenger.

The current Conservative prime minister, David Cameron and Ed Miliband are in competition for the highest position in British politics.
Being prime minister is the position that all political aim in England, he is responsible for making decisions and must be the head of the executive branch of government.
(HistoryLearningSite.co.uk, 2014).

England does not have a separated system with legislative, judicial and executive branches of government; this is why the prime minister basically has all the power in politics.
(White, 2015).
Relationship: Political Figures
The prime minister is the one who takes all the important decisions including the ones that will contribute to the welfare of the citizens, and there have been many proposals including this one. It has always existed competence between parties producing problems and disagreements, and different way of handling the ideas which influence in decision of the election of the prime minister.
David Cameron
He is the current Conservative prime minister.
His role is to be in charge of everything that happens in England politics.
He is important in this new because he is part of one of the most important parties and he is trying to get the post of prime minister.
(David Cameron, 2015).
Ed Miliband
He is the current Leader of the Labour Party and also Leader of the Opposition.
“In politics you don’t just have to fight, you have to know whose side you are on”.
He is also a politician Leader of the second most important party, and wants to be named prime minister after this years elections.
(Ed Miliband, 2015).
Five important facts
England's population has the highest obesity rate of the European Union with 22.3% of men and 23% of women.
The class system of the country is mostly ruled by manners and and background ( family, education...) instead of money.
England owns the largest tea per capita of the world, that is 22 percent more than the American or the French and 2.5 times more than Japan.
Public schools in England are very expesive and exclusive private schools and ordinary schools are free, they are called state schools.
British police do not carry guns unless it is an emergency.

April 2015
SNP would vote against Commons measures with authorise spending by government departments.
Stewart Hosie, Nicola Sturgeon
and the SNP party.
What and why it happened?
The SNP is prepared to block all government spending on Britain's Trident nuclear defence program, this happened because they said they prefer to use that money in other committees and they disagree with Trident program.
(Steven Swinford, 2015)
Both are part of the SNP party. They are against the Trident and are fighting for Scotland’s rights and want the best for their country and the United Kingdom, but many people disagree with them. Which is the importance to be in this new? It is important because elections in England are going to happen soon, and since they have these kind of political issues, people can polarize with one party or idea and they can vote without being informed. (Steven Swinford, 2015)

Since England has a constitutional monarchy this causes a lot of problems because even though they have the queen, the ones that really take the decisions are the politicians, but England is facing many problems with Scotland so in time of elections there have been a lot of arguments between different parties. (Steven Swinford, 2015)
Important actors

As a team we were able to realize just how complicated a politic system of a country can be, specially after investigating the UK system and the England's.

It was very interesting to learn about how this works and to know that this comes from a long time ago, and although it has its flaws this political system still is present and still working, and even more important England (UK) still represent one of the most powerful countries in the world, and a great example of a democracy, although officially is not.

Through a debate, important representatives picked the most important issue in the country. Economy was the result with 54.5% of the votes.
Because people are realizing that in order to get improvement, they need to start by getting the best economy possible.
Economy has always been matter of great importance, since it affects everyone live in the country. For this reason the people who vote are considering the economic contributions of each candidate before making a decision.
Lilian Neville-Jones
*Was a member of the panel.
*She belongs to the Conservative Party.
*She pointed out the public's tendency to take the economy for granted, and justified that "Now that it's functioning well, we're not so worried about it. Earlier on, when we first came in to government, people were extremely worried"(CNN, 2015).

The voters
"The economy affects us all, it's our employment, it's our future"
(Parliament.uk, 2015).
They consider how their decision is going to affect the economy before considering other issues.
Each candidate gave an argument to the public showing what was their position on the issue of the country's economy.
The people are looking for the option that best suits the country's economy, they are not going to settle for having a good economy, because they want to see more results.
With the chosen candidate it will be implemented the economy and the proposals that he had, which can be for better or can lead to a significant economic change.
People see the economy as issue number one, so they expect the candidates to bring amazing results.

What is unemployment rate?

What does it means?

Last year, the country had one of the highest numbers in employment and lower in unemployment, this means for England that as years go by, more monetary income comes for the country and the country's economic power increases. But this improvement in their numbers also mean that there exist more social stability, less protests about unemployment and less people migrating to other countries in search for works. However, this also means that people from other parts of the world are coming to England looking for work opportunities.

In England, gender division of work is delimited by the occidental society, and as we already know, there is a type of discrimination in this society where women receive less payment than men for the same work, and in the occidental society, there are many paradigms that tend to make women specialize more in emotional, caring services in the health, social work and education sectors, such as being nurses, teachers, secretarial occupations, social workers, psychologists, nanny, etc. In Western society women also do unpaid works in the home such as being housewives and moms. On the other hand, men tend to work in business, engineering, hard manual labor, industries, etc. Also according to our society, men should work for more hours because they are the money providers.
