Literary Conflict Remember, Conflict is a struggle between two opposing forces -Or-
the problem a struggle that takes place in a character’s mind or heart is called INTERNAL CONFLICT Character Vs. Self is internal conflict Maybe the character is struggling to overcome fear, addiction, emotional damage or other crippling personal issue External conflict takes place outside the body Man vs. Man Two characters fight one another like Harry Potter and "He who shall not be named" Man Vs. Nature This form of external conflict could involve floods, fires, storms, severe winds, or animals Man Vs. Society This is when protagonists feel alienated or are treated as outcasts of society.
