Develop an emergency communication plan:
Where will you go?
When will you make a decision?
What do you need to leave? (cash, plane tickets, pets)
Shuttles will be provided to the airport.
For air travel, purchase and print your ticket PRIOR to arrival.
Rail and bus options will be extremely limited.
Who is your designated out-of-town contact
How will you communicate plan to family members?

Research has shown that high rates of sexual victimization occur in the first year of college.

Please know that TUPD is a safe place and welcomes all communities, inclusive of sexual orientation and gender identity, and encourages prompt reporting of any type of dating violence.
Interpersonal Violence
Parking on campus is by permit only and falls under Facilities Services.
Freshmen living on campus
are not
allowed to purchase a permit.
Parking on neighborhood streets is enforced by the City of New Orleans.
Parking Services
Louisiana State law forbids the possession, sale, use or consumption of alcoholic beverages by anyone under the age of 21. Violations of the alcohol rules are referred to the University disciplinary system for disposition.

2014 academic year
TUPD responded to 178 incidents involving alcohol.

Tulane has
