Delay-tolerant networking (DTN) is an approach to computer network architecture that seeks the most efficient way to communicate in heterogeneous networks that may lack continuous network connectivity.

hoc network (MANET) using OPNET Simulator.
Mobile ad-hoc devices such as laptop and smartphone in a range of 50 devices.
A network simulator to simulate the manet algorithm and dtn architecture.
Scope and Significance
Dynamic topologies - nodes are free move anywhere and can lead to partitioning the network.
Routing - routes between nodes may potentially contain multiple hops, which is more complex than single hop.
Device discovery - identifying newly move node in the network and inform the existence to the others node.
Latency - Manet has very high latency because Manet have many route to hop and using tcp handshaking protocol.
To implement Manet routing algorithm in the network simulator.
To create simulation of Manet before and after using delay tolerant network (DTN) architecture.
To evaluate the results from both simulations.
Able to identify the performance of Manet with or without DTN architecture.
Enhance the communication between nodes by reducing the latency of the network.
Reduce the limitations of the mobile resources as memory and energy.
