Her emphasis on the endeavors of the human race hints to her intellectual dreams of becoming a doctor. First performance: March 11, 1959 What is the American Dream? An idea of success that usually involves owning a house, being able to provide a better life for your family and attain certain material objects. Mama's dream was to provide a better life for her family. Clybourne Park Dream was to open a liquor store! Walter $10,000 Amount of money the Younger's receive from Big Walter's death insurance. Mr. Karl Lindner Tries to pay the Younger's NOT to move into an all white neighborhood. Walter tells Mr. Lindner that the Younger's are proud and hardworking and intend to move into their new house.
