Life Impacting Quotes
“Don't judge a man until you've walked two moons in his moccasins.”
― Sharon Creech
“What exactly did people do when they had all the time in the world and could do whatever they liked?"
― Sharon Creech, Chasing Redbird
I must admit, I am a procrastinator, and whenever I stay up doing homework untill half past 12, I wonder the same exact thing. Thankfully, it doesn't happen very often.
“On that night after Phoebe had given her Pandora report, I thought about the Hope in Pandora's box. Maybe when everything seemed sad and miserable, Phoebe and I could both hope that something might start to go right.”
― Sharon Creech, Walk Two Moons
I can relate to this, but my mom has felt this feeling much more intensely than I ever have before when my grandma got deathly sick, and my dad broke his ribs and coller bone, and my sister broke her arm all in about 6 weeks.
“...but it doesn't feel crazy to us.
It feels like what we do.”
― Sharon Creech, Heartbeat
Just about everyone can relate to this, because ifyou look back on what you talked about with your friend, and imagined you saw someone else doing thesame exact thing, you would think they were crazy.
“Then I thought, boy, isn't that just typical? You wait and wait and wait for something, and then when it happens, you feel sad.”
-Sharon Creech, Absolutely Normal Chaos
This has happened to almost everyone. The most recent time it happened to me was last summer. We were going to go up to our cabin on the Owyhee Reservoir, but there wasn't enough water for us to get there.
“You can't keep the birds of sadness from flying over your head, but you can keep them from nesting in your hair.”
― Sharon Creech, Walk Two Moons
I can relate to this because my grandma passed away, but I didn't let it affect my grades or friendships.
By Rachel Berry
This is the most important quote, and I feel I should live by it, because I had just assumed all homeless people were mean, irresponsible people who didn't have any families, but the ones I met were helpful, and there were families at the shelter I volunteered at.
