The Earth was formed approximately 4.54 billion years ago and is the only known planet to support life.
The Sun is the star at the center of our solar system and is responsible for the earth's climate and weather.
Venus is the second planet from the Sun.
Venus is the brightest object in the night sky.
Venus is named after the Roman goddess of love and beauty.
A photo of the Earth is taken from a distance of 3.7 billion miles.
Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun.
Mars is named after the Roman god of war.
Mars is described as a reddish planet.
Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun.
Jupiter has a thin set of rings.

It is best known for its fabulous ring system.
Its ring system was discovered 1610 by the astronomer Galileo Galilei.
