One- Point Perspective
PART 1 ACTIVITY !!!!!!!!
Draw 1 horizon line and 1 vanishing point on a piece of paper.

Explore the various possibilities of creating your cube in 3D using the perspective.

RECAP
Its placement determines where we seem to be looking from
- a high place, or from close to the ground.

A vanishing point is a point in the picture plane that orthogonal lines viewed in perspective appear to be converge to.
Where the orthogonal lines meet, that
helps to construct a drawing.

Contains only one vanishing point on the horizon line.

The surface plane is always facing the viewer.
The orthogonal lines converge at the vanishing point.

The horizon line in perspective drawing is a horizontal line across the picture, at eye level.

One Point Perspective
BORING!!
A form of perspective in drawing and painting in which lines are represented as converging so as to give the illusion of depth and distance.
DEFINITION:

During the Renaissance, artists became very interested in making two-dimensional artworks look three-dimensional. They used mathematics and close observation to invent "linear perspective"—a technique that helps artists make things look deep.
History of
Linear Perspective
Linear perspective allows artists to trick the eye into seeing depth on a flat surface.
Early works are flat and don’t
show much depth

Essential Question: How to draw one point perspective?
Think of it as if the person was sitting on the vanishing point. What would they see?
I use it in my art!
