APPROACHING GOD
Jesus Saves

We have heard the joyful sound: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Spread the tidings all around: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Bear the news to every land, Climb the steeps and cross the waves;
Onward! ‘tis our Lords command; Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

Sing above the battle strife, Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
By His death and endless life, Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Sing it shoftly through the gloom, When the heart for mercy craves;
Sing in triumph o’er the tomb - Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

Give the winds a mighty voice, Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Let the nations now rejoice - Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Shout salvation full and free, Highest hills and deepest caves;
This our song of victory - Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

AG Scripture: Luke 15:7
"I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”

Merciful God

Merciful God, O abounding in love,
Faithful to all who draw near You,
Hearing the cries of the humble in heart,
Showing the cross they may cling to.
Helpless I come, broken in sin,
Found at the feet of Your mercy.
Father, forgive,
May my sin be remembered no more.

Merciful God, O abounding in love,
Faithful through times we have failed You –
Selfish in thought and uncaring in deed,
Foolish in word and ungrateful.
Spirit of God, conquer our hearts
With love that flows from forgiveness;
Cause us to yield
And return to the mercy of God.

Merciful God, O abounding in love,
Faithful to keep us from falling,
Guiding our ways with Your fatherly heart,
Growing our faith with each testing.
God speed the day struggles will end,
Faultless we’ll gaze on Your glory;
Then we will stand
Overwhelmed by the mercy of God.
GLORIFYING GOD
GG Scripture: 1 Peter 1:18-19
18 …knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, 19 but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.

Redeemed

Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it!
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed through His infinite mercy,
His child, and forever I am.
Redeemed, redeemed, Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed, redeemed, His child, and forever I am.

I think of my blessed Redeemer,
I think of Him all the day long;
I sing, for I cannot be silent;
His love is the theme of my song.
Redeemed, redeemed, Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed, redeemed, His child, and forever I am.

I know I shall see in His beauty
The King in whose law I delight.
Who lovingly guardeth my footsteps,
And giveth me songs in the night.
Redeemed, redeemed, Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed, redeemed, His child, and forever I am.

Arise, My Soul, Arise

Arise, my soul, arise; shake off thy guilty fears;
The bleeding Sacrifice in my behalf appears:
Before the throne my Surety stands, (repeat)
My name is written on His hands.

He ever lives above for me to intercede;
His all redeeming love, His precious blood to plead;
His blood for sin did once atone, (repeat)
And now it pleads before the Throne.

Five bleeding wounds He bears, received on Calvary,
They pour effectual prayers, They strongly plead for me:
“Forgive him, o forgive,” they cry, (repeat)
“Nor let that ransomed sinner die.”

I now am reconciled; God’s pardoning voice I hear,
He owns me as His child, I can no longer fear;
With confidence I now draw nigh, (repeat)
And “Father, Abba, Father” cry.
There is a Redeemer

There is a Redeemer, Jesus, God’s own Son;
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, Holy One.
Thank You, O my Father, for giving us Your son,
And leaving Your Spirit till the work on earth is done.

Jesus, my Redeemer, name above all names;
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, Hope for sinners slain.
Thank You, O my Father, for giving us Your son,
And leaving Your Spirit till the work on earth is done.

When I stand in Glory, I will see His face,
There I’ll serve my King forever in that holy place.
Thank You, O my Father, for giving us Your son,
And leaving Your Spirit till the work on earth is done.

How Deep the Father’s Love

How deep the Father’s love for us, How vast beyond all measure
That He would give His only Son to make a wretch His treasure!
How great the pain of searing loss, the Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One bring many sons to glory!

Behold the Man upon a cross, my guilt upon His shoulders.
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice call out among the scoffers.
It was my sin that held Hi there until it was accomplished.
His dying breath has brought me life; I know that it is finished.

I will not boast in anything, no gifts, no pow’rs, no wisdom.
But I will boast in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection.
Why should I gain from his reward? I cannot give an answer,
But this I know with all my heart: His wounds have paid my ransom.
At the Cross
Alas! And did my Savior bleed? And did my Sovereign die?
Would He devote that sacred head for such a work as I?
At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart rolled away –
It was there by faith I received my sight.
And now I am happy all the day!

Was it for crimes that I have done, He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity! Grace unknown! And love beyond degree!
At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart rolled away –
It was there by faith I received my sight.
And now I am happy all the day!

But drops of grief can ne’er repay the debt of love I owe;
Here, Lord, I give myself away – ‘tis all that I can do!
At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart rolled away –
It was there by faith I received my sight.
And now I am happy all the day!
