Antibiotics VS Infection Why are antibiotics used and what type of infections are they most effective in treating? In what two ways are antibiotics created? Video: Antibiotic "Apocalypse" warning What are some problems thar arise when a bacteria becomes resistant to an antibiotic? -Antibiotics are powerful medicines that are used to treat illnesses caused by bacteria and only bacteria -Synthesis natural organisms like molds from bread and enzymes from the plant proteins

-Genetic Modification from known compounds created from chemicals Why is it important to follow the instructions for taking a prescribed antibiotic very carefully? Why is it important to follow the instructions for taking a prescribed antibiotic very carefully? Antibiotic resistance may be transferred to a pathogenic bacterium. The infection may not be cured.
Bacteria will grow and become stronger
Can lead to kill desirable microbes allowing over growth of opptunistic microboes causing addictional infections for the person.
Bacteria can transfer drug resistance between different species so the resistance escalates.

What is antibiotic resistance where a microorganisim is able to survive exposure to an antibiotic. By Steph, Gerard, Alexis, Vida, and Chiqure -Antibiotics don't work work against viruses which are types of germs that can cause illness such as the common cold and the flu How do they destroy " foreign invaders" in our bodies? Another way in which an antibiotic function is by which interfering the bacterial metabolism.
Some antibiotics interfere with protein synthesis.
Antibiotics inhibit nucleic acid biosynthesis. Still other antibiotics have the general blocking effect on cell metabolism -Some antibiotics are effective against only certain types of bacteria; others can effectively fight a wide range of bacteria. Bacterial infections include strep throat, most (but not all) ear infections, and some sinus, bladder, and lung infections. Most common infections (such as colds, bronchitis and sore throats) are caused by viruses. First, the antibiotic can weaken the cell walls of the infectious bacterial cell walls of the infectious bacteria, which causes them to burst.
Second, antibiotics can cause the contents of the bacterial cells to leak out by damaging the cells membranes. -Taking all the antibiotics prescribed reduces the risk of bacteria growing again.
-The longer the bacteria stays in the body, the more likely it would became resistant.
-It makes sure all the bacteria is dead. Under treating the infection, causes resistance.
-Some bacteria can do other things and lead to other infections. -Following the directions carefully can ensure the antibiotics work efficiency
-Not following directions can affect absorption of antibiotics reducing or stopping effective healing Except for an allergic reaction, why should you always finish a course of antibiotics once you have started it? -Taking all the antibiotics prescribed reduces the risk of bacteria growing again.
