What is it? 2- It has got a long neck and it can eat leaves from tall trees. What is it? 3- It can fly and see very well. What is it? 4- It has got sharp teeth and a long mane. What is it? 5- It has got a long thin body. What is it? 6- It is very big and grey. It has got a long
trunk. What is it? 7- It has got black stripes. It eats grass
and bushes. What is it? Crocodile Ostrich Classification Read Some of the more common wild animals are: ANIMAL FACTS: Kangaroos Kangaroos can jump 9 metres. They can jump very fast -30 kilometres per hour.
Baby Kangaroos are very small -only 3 metres long!
They can't jump and they can't see. They can see when they are 9 weeks old. They can jump when they are 8 months old.
They can't run and they can't walk.
Kangaroos live in Australia. Koala Bears Koala Bears are from Australia too. They live in trees.
Adult coala bears aren't very big. They are only 0.5 metres tall.
Baby koala bears are very small. They are only 2 centimetres tall! White sharks Sharks live in all parts of the world. There are 250 different sharks. All sharks eat meat.
A shark isn't very nice. It is very big -6 metres long.
It eats fish, small sharks, seals and people! It swims very fast -65 kilometres an hour. People only swim
6 kilometres an hour.
A remora is a small fish -only 45 centimetres long. It
lives on a shark. I eats food from the shark and swims with the shark. Fish Amphibians Reading Comprehension. Fish. Fish live in the sea. Sometimes they live in
lakes or rivers. They are yellow, pink, brown,
grey or blue. Some people have fish at home
in a bowl. Fish can be very good food too.
Small fish eat plants in the water. Big fish eat
smaller ones. It's not easy being a fish! Crocodiles Crocodiles are big, green animals. They are not very beautiful. They have got big mouths and a lot
of teeth. Crocodiles often live in rivers.
Meat is their favourite food and they often eat other animals. A lot of people are very afraid of crocodiles. They think crocodiles are ugly and want to hurt them. And that's right!
