Peter helped Lara Jean when her letters were sent out.
Kitty is the one who sent out Lara Jean's letters.
The story starts off at Lara Jean's house, then it jumps from there, the store, and her school.
Lara Jean writes a letter to all the boys she loved before, but she puts them in a hat box and one day she comes home and they aren't there. She thinks her dad must have taken the box to a Goodwill, but her little sister Kitty sent them out.
MAJOR EVENT #1
Lara Jean is at school and her crush Josh comes up to her and asks her about the letter.
MAJOR EVENT #2
Lara Jean freaks out about Josh reading the letter so she pretends to have a boyfriend who is Peter.
MAJOR EVENT #3
As she is spending all of her time with Peter, who likes her, she eventually falls in love with him and they end up together for real.
Everyone who got a letter from Lara Jean talked to her and she said that it was a long time ago. Josh told Lara Jean how he feels about her, but Lara Jean no longer has feelings for him. Peter and Lara Jean end up together for real.
I think the theme for the book is self discovery because Lara Jean discovers that she really loves Peter.
