Help America Vote Act How did the people involved take part in public affairs? They wanted to create the Election Assistance Commission to assist in the administration of Federal elections and establish minimum election administration standards. When did this happen? During the 2000 elections
Signed by George W. Bush Summary of Help America Vote Act Drafted in reaction to the controversy surrounding the 2000 U.S. presidential election. Almost two million ballots were disqualified in the 2000 election because they registered multiple votes or none when run through vote-counting machines. Who was Involved? President George W.Bush made the states and poll workers have a statewide registration system, update their voting machines, and train to improve voter education.
