Colon Cancer What is Colon Cancer? A malignant tumor arising from the inner wall of the large intestine. The most common form of colon cancer comes from polyps inside the colon.
Colon Cancer is almost impossible
to detect Three Common symptoms of cancer are
abdominal pain, weakness or fatigue, and
weight loss without reason. The most common type of test for colon cancer
is a colonoscopy Most people should get a colonoscopy at age 50, or earlier if they have a family history of colon cancer or polyps. If the cancer is caught early enough,
it can be treated The most common types of treatment include
surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Colon cancer is caused by eating fatty foods, having a history of colon cancer, or developing polyps. Also, eating too much red meat can increase the risk of colon cancer. Real facts about Colon Cancer: In 2009, 50,000 americans died from colon cancer alone 1 out of 19 people will develop colon cancer
Colon Cancer is the second leading cause of cancer related deaths in America. In 2011, nearly 200,000 Americans will be diagnosed with
