Transcript of Output Devices
What are they?
List of Output Devices
There are many different output devices such as printers and monitor systems that are used for different applications. Computing, output refers to the communication between an information processing system (such as a computer), and the outside world (us). An input is data received by the system, and outputs are data sent from it.
Headphones are used to receive radio, telephone communications, to listen to a song, or watch videos without other people hearing.
A touch screen is the only device that is able to be an Output as well as a input. COOL! :D
An ink jet printer can
print a hard copy of
anything on a computer.
First output device was created on January 1st, 1976
Types of output devices include text, tactile, video, audio, and graphic
Output devices are really cool
Thank you for listening to our presentation. We hope you learned something new today. Output devices are really cool.
Touch screens work particularly well with a menu driven interface and are a major use on smart phones and modernized computers where you can access 'apps'.
This is because you are able to view the options available by viewing the screen and can use you finger to choose settings on the surface.
The monitor - commonly called as a
Visual Display Unit - is the main
output device of a computer.
It forms images from tiny dots - pixels - that
are arranged in a rectangular form.
The sharpness of the image depends
upon the number of the pixels.
Output devices are computer hardware that allow information in a system to be accessed by a user or another system. It works with input devices which allow users and other systems to send data. Other output devices allow computers to send information visually such as texts, pictures and other images.
There is an extended assortment of Output devices that can channel information processed by the computer into images, text, sounds, and other medias. These include:
-Voice output communication aids
-Automotive navigation systems
The Cathode-Ray Tube (CRT) Monitor
The CRT display is made up of small picture elements called pixels for short. The smaller the pixels, the better the image clarity, or resolution. It takes more than one illuminated pixel to form whole characters, such as the letter e in the word help.
The most screens are capable of displaying is 80 characters of data horizontally and 25 lines vertically. There are some disadvantage of CRT
