What task do automated guided vehicles perform? What sensors does the robot have and how does the robot use these sensors? The photoelectric sensors follow the guide path of florescent lines using ultra violet rays. Predict & explain how this robot may be altered to perform more or different tasks in the future Impact of the automated guided vehicle It helps its audience because it helps them work more effective and efficiently. This robot may be altered to somehow hover or fly for easier and faster transportation. It can also be upgraded to carry way more cargo. Is the robot meant to multi-task? If so what other task can it perform? By: Selena Campos, Mark Aguilar, Charles Cañas Automated Guided Vehicles Where is the robot used? Its not meant to multi-task. Its main objective is to
transport materials in a manufacturing warehouse. The robot is mainly used in a manufacturing facility or a warehouse it can move freely on the path. The robot is programmed to follow an invisible florescent path on the floor. How is the robot taught to perform its task? The main task of the robot is to move materials, equipment, etc. from place to place on a preset path. Advantages Disadvantages Advantages and disadvantages of the robot completing its task Standard batteries & changing systems require no special talent
Technology can be easily changed
Can take loads of equipment or materials
No driver/operator needed Requires frequent tune-ups.
Malfunctions are frequent. What type of jobs/careers does this robot create It could provide employment for the people to build it, maintain it, and repair it.
