WHY DO WE USE IT ?
Vines can be shared with the most social media accounts, such as twitter and facebook. It is also used for entertaining and informing people about products or contests.
Founded by Dom Hofmann, Rus Yusupov, and Colin Kroll in June 2012.
It was acquired by Twitter in October, 2012 for $30 million.
Vine debuted on January 24, 2013 as a free IOS app.
Reached 40 million users after 7 months.
April 9, 2013 Vine became the most downloaded free app within the IOS app store.
It became the most downloaded app within 3 months of its release.
6 second looping videos can be created and posted and are recorded through the in app camera.
It is recording only when the screen is being touched, which means user can edit on the fly or create stop motion effects.
