What is an Allusion? Allusion is a reference to a well-known person, place, event, or idea from such sources as religion, mythology, literature, history, science, or popular culture. Readers must not only identify allusions, but they must also be able to understand their significance. Allusions often come from

When dad lost his job, mom became a Scrooge. We only purchased things that were absolutely necessary. What is the significance? It comes from Marvel Comic's "The Hulk"
