In "The Most Dangerous game, the character "Rainsford" is a middle age man and in the "Deathwatch" Ben is a college student. The Characters The Hunters Both Madec and General Zaroff are crazy men who find it fun to harass people and even kill them. The Hunters Both Rainsford and Ben do not have any supplies to help them. Only the ones they find or make. The Hunted The Characters Rainsford and Ben are both being hunted by madmen. Pg. 59 Deathwatch Weapons Settings In the "Deathwatch" the setting takes place in a hot Arizona desert, and in "The Most Dangerous Game" the setting takes place in a jungle out in the middle of nowhere. Age Ben is a young college boy who has a lot of experience in the desert. Rainsford is a middle aged man who does not have a lot of experience in the jungle. Where the hunted live. Ben lives by the Mojave Desert in California. Rainsford lives New York. So they have different lifestyles, since they live almost across the country. The Hunters Survival Both Rainsford and Ben survived what they encountered. They did this by staying once step ahead of the mad men. Where to go? Both Ben and Rainsford had no where to escape from their hunters unless they wanted to die. Hiding Both Rainsford and Ben had to hide from the mad men in order to survive. They had to find a spot and think if the mads men would see them or not. Lifestyles The two hunters, Madec and General Zaroff both come from wealthy places or having a lot of money to be able to do what they do. Greed Both Madec and General Zaroff are greedy. Madec wants a trophy worthy animal. General Zaroff wants a hard new animal to hunt. Ben and Rainsford are left with no supplies and they have to conserve everything they can get Pg. 37 The Most Dangerous Game
