Born on October 23,1961 in Postdam New York Anderson is a current American author who writes for children and young adults First recognized for her novel speak in 1999 Anderson takes her writing very seriously She acts as a voice for many young readers Laurie Halse Anderson has been nominated and won multiple honorary awards over her literary work Other then writing she enjoys spending time with her family Anderson uses her own experience which often intertwines itself into the life of her characters Quotes “Be careful what you wish for.
