The Mortal Instruments
The love story
The Mortal Instruments:
City of Bones

These cool tattoo looking marks
serve a great deal of purpose
for shadowhunters. They give the
"supernatural" abilities used
against battle. Drawn on a
shadowhunter with a steele, runes
have different affects. There are
defensive runes such as invisibility and
speed and there are healing runes for wounds
and injuries. All runes come from shadowhunter's rune book known as the
Gray Book.

A thousand years ago, the Angel Raziel mixed his blood with the blood of Johnathan Shadowhunter and created the race of the nephilim (shadowhunters). A race of half-angel, half-human hybrids born to help rid the wprld of evil. The worlds invisible warriors.
a shadowhunter?

Like every other love story there's a twist here, Jace is a shadowhunter and Clary a mundane (well not for long). As Jace and Clary start to fall for each other, a couple things get in the way. First, Simon, Clary's best friend since the second grade is in love with her. Second, Jace's adoptive brother Alec, is jealous because he carries a small secret torch for him. And thirdly, Jace and Clary get told..... well you"ll just have to read the books to find out!

My critique on The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones
Now a major motion picture!

check out the trailer!
The Mortal Instruments, City of Bones was an honest roller coaster ride! The Mortal Instruments has got it ALL, from magic and angels to werelwoves and vampires to newly introduced faeries and warlocks. The book was a mix of action, love, humor and just about everything! I enjoyed reading the book from third person point of view, it helped you relate to the characters and their situations more. Cassandra Clare's writing never failed to disappoint even as the series went on. I would happily recommend The Mortal Instruments; City of Bones to anyone because it's just made for everyone. Everyone finds their inner shadowhunter in this book. I think it's safe to say I rate this book 5 stars! Team Shadowhunters!
Handed down by the Angel Raziel for guidance, there are three Mortal Instruments total: the Mortal Cup, the Mortal sword and the Mortal Mirror. City of Bones is mainly
based on the Mortal Cup, which
has the power to create more shadowhunters. But who's after
it and why? Guess you'll just
have to read and find out!
