Transcript of HISTORY OF HOUSING

A house is a building that functions as a home for humans or other creatures like animals.
The social unit that lives in a house is known as a household. Most commonly, a household is a family unit of some kind, although households may also be other social groups or individuals.
Housing generally refers to the social problem of ensuring that members of society have a home in which to live, whether this is a house, or some other kind of dwelling, lodging, or shelter
.
Before independence
The housing provided by the government for employees only, in every department of the government to provide housing for workers in their departments (Institutional Quarters)
After independence
The Government has introduced the concept of low-cost housing (low-cost public housing), medium cost, and the cost of luxury.
Third Malaysia Plan (RMK-3) states that all people will have their own home, regardless of income. Government made a commitment to provide housing to all citizens.

Introduction
Rapid urbanization in Malaysia led the government should review and reassess the situation and the lives of the urban population as a group that plays an important role in economic growth and national development.
Conclusion
HISTORY OF HOUSING
1976 - The National Housing Department (JPN) under the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT). The objective is to ensure proper development of the housing sector, quality, and more regularly to be enjoyed by all walks of life.
JPN has taken the initiative to formulate a National Housing Policy (DRN) to ensure housing scheme in Malaysia can be implemented perfectly well able to ensure a sustainable life among Malaysians
