Unpacking Common Core
Use post planning to unpack common
core* and get to the bottom of what we are teaching

Knowing the "what" and the "how" will
allow us to reach our bottom quartile with rigor
*Science will unpack the NGSSS but
will also support reading and math
Comprised of all sixth graders
Students split into three teams
Each Team is comprised of:
2 Reading teachers
2 Language Arts/Social Studies teachers
2 Math/Science teachers
Teachers will work with content area
teams to brainstorm relevant and
rigorous lesson plans
