The 9th beatitude
"Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven"
St.Catherine of Siena
St.Catherine of Siena was a regualr girl born in Northern Italy. at the age of 12, her parents thought of giving her an arranged marriage. she begged them not to, people thought she was different and criticed her for not trying to get married like the rest.
St.Catherine of Siena
But Catherine knew that God had another plan that would be better for her. She also consecreted her virginity to Christ at the age of 7 and spent lots of time in prayer.

She then later joined the third order of dominicans and spent some time in the desert. When she came back she began to gather discples to join in the faith. Clergy and other persecuted her for this, but she kept doing it all for God and now she is one of the two patrons saints of the church.
