Transcript of Building Services Engineering
A Building Services Engineer (or B.S.E.) has the important job of making structures come to life. They are responsible for design, installation, operation and monitoring of the mechanical, electrical and public health systems required for the safe, comfortable and environmentally friendly operation of modern buildings. Everything behind the walls of a building a BSE has a part in. They have almost a part in all that makes a stucture a building.
What is a Building Services Engineer?
Building services engineers usually will possess an academic degree in building services engineering, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering. The amount of studies for each degree would be three years for a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) and four years for a Master of Engineering (MEng).
Building Services Engineers making approximately 110,000 Canadian dollars a year but can always very depending on your level of work, employer and amount of work you do. To get the job done right these engineers use different types of software like computer-aided engineering (CAE) and computer-aided design (CAD)software programs to help bring their disigns to reality. They assist them in the placement of systems like: Air condisioning units, fernaces, ventalation, waste disposal and much more!
Many Universities, Instututes, and schools od engineering across the world offer many courses so you can acheive and persue your dreams to become a building services engineer!
Just one Building Service Engineer will most likely not be able to be a specialist in all the catagories of the perfession, so multiple B.S.E.s are needed to create a building. There will be several engineers that have focused on mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, plumbing or public health (MEP) engineering education, so that all aspects of the structure will be built to function properly with low chance of error.
