Which also featured another hit, "Say My Name" Destiny's Child won two grammy awards for best R&B performance and another for best R&B song Blessing Spetember 4th 1981 A child of destiny was born I AM SAHSA FIERCE Now a trio, after the third album the group decided to split and focus on their solo careers When performing on stage Beyoncé is know for being "sexy, seductive, and provocative. Beyoncé introduced her alter ego as Sasha Fierce, describing her as being too aggressive, too strong, sassy and too sexy! Although Beyoncé is nothing like her in real life; it is an out of body experience , creating this stage persona protecting herself so when she goes home doesn't have to think about what she does. Alter Ego transformation Beyoncé took center stage as a solo artist with her first album "Dangerously in Love" which was number one on US charts and sold over 4 million copies in the US alone. 2009 Michael Jackson is Beyonce's major musical influence and idol another is Diana Ross because "she's an all-around entertainer: a great actor, a good singer, and a beautiful, elegant woman. Her other musical influences include Cher, Tina Turner, Prince, Lauryn Hill, Sade Adu, Aaliyah, MaryJ Blidge, Janet Jackon, Anita Baker and Rachelle Ferrell. She is also inspired by Oprah Winfrey and US First Lady Michelle Obama. Beyonce says Winfrey is the definition of inspiration and a strong woman. "When I'm around her, I want to stand up straight, pronounce my words right, and articulate." INFLUENCES Personal Life As a child Beyoncé competed in local talent shows impressing audiences with her singing and dancing abilities, winning many events. Beyoncé teamed up with her cousin Kelly Rowland classmates LaToya Luckett, and LaTavia Roberson. Beyoncé runs a clothing line with her mother called House Of Dereon. She also launched her own fragrance "Heat" in 2010. Beyoncé served as a spokesperson and model for several other brands including L'Oreal and Tommy Hilfiger House Of Dereon April 4th 2008, Beyoncé married rapper and music entrepreneur Jay-Z in a small, private ceremony in New York City. Beyonce and Jay-Z welcomed their daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, on January 7, 2012. Beyoncé found herself under fire for performing a private concert for Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi on New Year's Eve in 2010. She donated her fee from the event to help victims of the Haitian earthquake. Beyoncé's father had been responsible for arranging the Libyan concert.Then she decided to drop her father as her manager in March 2011.
