If you don't pay your mortgage today it will be delinquent and we will foreclose on your house. Does literacy include knowing how to interpret this? The nature of of information is changing. We can interact more with information media today than ever before. How does that change the nature of literacy? If the nature of information today is read/write do social media conventions constitute forms of literacy or literacy skills? Does literacy include knowing what these mean? What about Text Speak?
