Transcript of Agricultural Robot

Where is it used? Agricultural robots are used in farms to help harvest crops, fruits, and vegetables. Or to cut the grass.
There work envelope is very big. They can work in a farm, out in the fields, or in a store like WoJo's.
The robots degree of freedom depends on the robot. If the robot is moving plants from here to there then the neck and the arms move. What does it do? Agricultural robots will help farmers tend to there crops. These robots will save time and help the farmer be more efficient and get more things done faster. Agricultural robots are especially helpful on large farms, with a lot of tasks to be done. Agricultural Robot Is it multi-functional? Most agricultural robot have a specific purpose. For example, some robots are made to cut grass and others are made to harvest crops. Most of the robots in the agricultural field have only one function. How was it taught? Does it have sensors? By: Sydney Young & Sydney Gilles Agricultural Robots Advantages & Disadvantages Agricultural robots have cameras. They scan the field, or there surroundings. Then a robot or server can create an action plan for the robot to perform. The Impact The impact of agricultural robots is that they can help farmers get more done in a smaller amount of time. Some people think that the robots will eventually take over all of the hard labor jobs in the farming industry. These robots will save the farmer money by not having to pay the workers, but these robots could possibly put many employees out of work. Jobs/Careers Using robots to work on farms can bring jobs and get rid of some. These robots will need to be made by engineers. So they will create some robot engineering jobs as they become more commonly used. Using agricultural robots will also take over some jobs. Such as hard labor jobs on farms. Predictions We predict that in the future the Agricultural robots could be altered to be more multi-purposeful. They could alter the robot to complete different task without some or any human help. If the robots could have more uses it could be helpful to a larger range of farmers. The farmers would only need to have a few robots instead of different robots for each task.
