Magnetism in the 21st Century Facts About Magnets All natural magnets have
North and South poles Like magnets repel,
opposites attract Magnetic feild lines flow from
North to South Natural magnets are made from Iron, Nickel, and Cobalt Medicine Astronomy Electronics Navigation Toys MRI- Magnetic resonance imaging
This is a machineused to visualize
detailed images of the internal
body structure. Three seperate main magnets
are used in this machine; the Primary Magnet
the Gradiant Magnets and the Coil. The primary forms
a field, the gradiants make it possible to visualize a
specific part, and the coil emits radiofrequencies
that make MRIs possible.
Telescope
The telescope is an instrument
used to observe objects great distance
away by the formation or electromagnetic
radiation. Compass
The compass is a tool which magnetism
is the only way it works. A magnet points to the
Geographic North Pole. And Radio
The radio is a device that transmits
electromagnetic waves frequencies to and from
receivers. Woolly Willy
The woolly willy is a toy that uses magnets
to draw a face on a man. You use a special magneic pen that pulls the magnetic peices out and create shapes.
