Transcript of Michael Jackson
Michael has said in an interview with oprah that there were times that he resented his father so much that he woud get sick everytime he sees him. http://www.michaeljacksonslegacy.org/ http://www.michaellives.com/michael-jacksons-death-and-the-aftermath/michael-jacksons-legacy-and-influence/ Michael Jackson's legacy seems difficult to qualify, as Michael Jackson impacted so many people during his lifetime; in addition, he changed the face of music, music videos, dance, and even the concept of the performer. LEGACY Michael has inspired alot of celebrities in the music world, such as Britney Spears , Mariah Carey, Justin Timberlake and many more. They all said that michael influence has played a major role in their musical careers. After he released his Thriller Music Video, MTV played more music videos made by African-American Artists, this gaved African-American Artist to gain acceptance in the music world. Michael’s dancing inspired many, many artists and performers.
Not only Michael has influenced many Artists, He was too was inspired and influenced by few people. Jackson watched West Side Story almost every week and it was his favorite film. While Little Richard had a substantial influence on Jackson, James Brown was Jackson's greatest inspiration. "And when I saw him move, I was mesmerized. I had never seen a performer perform like James Brown, and right then and there I knew that was exactly what I wanted to do for the rest of my life because of James Brown." Jackson said. http://www.michaeljackson.com/ie/home “KING OF POP” "There's nothing that can't be
done if we raise our voice as one." I chose Michael Jackson as the great leader for my history project.
I believe that Michael Jackson is an example of a great leader!
Michael was a musical genius, an artist, a dancer.
He has effected people with his music. The way he used his fame to make others see important things in this world that need to be looked at and need to be changed. He tried to send very important messages through his music.
I love how Michael wrote songs that really convey deep and strong messages, for example Heal the world. Michael tried saying we should heal the world because there are many people who need help in this world. He tried showing us we are all the same and we all came from the same ground of Earth, the home of us all, humans, animals and nature, that we are all brothers and sisters, and so why should we have all these fights, killing, war and hate.
He wrote songs that would mobilise people all over the world to care for children, to eliminate prejudice, to care for the environment and to encourage us all to make a difference to the world in which we live, through love, and kindness.
For me Michael Jackson is really a great leader, though he was a singer but he is a leader by trying to impact and making others realize things that are important. He showed great care to the people, children, animals and even environment. He gaved lots of people reasons to admire him.
Michael Jackson made the people from all over the world to work together, he showed them that it doesnt matter if your black or white. He wanted people to get along, he doesnt want racism and prejudices to rip families and friends apart. He put these into the songs he wrote and hoped that they would somehow change the way they look at each other. Examples would be 'Black or White' and 'Man in the mirror.'
