Transcript of Steven Salzano

Steven Salzano is a member of Ladder station 132. He was on his day off whenever he saw the first plane hit the first tower. He immediately called his chief to ask if he needed to report to work that day. His chief said that they had it under control. Right after that the second plane hit the towers, and he went directly to work knowing that the acts were intentional. When he got there they were bussed to the site. On the way there the twin towers collapsed. Salzano helped on some rescue missions, but he mainly put fires out on adjacent buildings. Salzano is one of many heroes who helped out on that horrible day. I am truly sorry for those that lost loved ones on that day, and I am thankful that so many people helped in the recovery of those people and their families.
