Ribosomes
Spongebob
Spongebob's job is to make Krabby Patties to feed the customers and make money for Mr. Krabs. Like the ribosomes, he plays an important role in synthesizing an essential product for business to continue.

Function:
To build proteins

If the ribosomes in a cell were not functioning, then there would be no proteins for catalyzing processes, transporting and receiving, defense, and movement.
Plasma Membrane
Function:
The membrane protects the cell and controls the transport of molecules from the inside to the outside of the cell.

If the plasma membrane wasn't functioning then anything could go in and out of the cell and harm the organelles. Too much water in the cell would cause it to burst and if little water went in the cell then it would shrivel up. Either way the cell would die.
All sea creatures know they can't survive on land, so they must stay below sea, and land creatures know they can't survive below water, so they stay on land.

Chromosomes
Function:
Chromosomes carry all of the information used to help a cell grow, function, and reproduce.

If the chromosomes are not functioning, then there is no DNA or information for the cell to do anything and therefore no processes would take place leading in the death of not only the cell, but the whole organism.
Krabby Patty Secret Formula
The Krabby Patty secret formula holds all the information in making the perfect Krabby Patty. The only person who knows this formula besides Mr. Krabs is Spongebob (AKA ribosome who makes the Krabby Patty).
Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum:
The function of the Rough ER is to produce secretory proteins that are produced by the ribosomes that are attached to the Rough ER.
Cytosol
Function: Cytosol surrounds organelles and is a component of the cytoplasm.

Without the cytosol, the cytoplasm would not be able to function, which would destroy the structure of the cell. Bad or non-functioning proteins and organelles would not be dissolved.
Here, we see the ocean water of
Bikini bottom, which exists around Spongebob, the Krusty Krab, etc.
Cytoskeleton
Function: The cytoskeleton provides structure for the cell and helps function in cell movement.
If the cytoskeleton were to function improperly or not at all, the structure of the cell would be severely compromised. Cellular transport would not work, either.
In Bikini Bottom, the cytoskeleton is the road. Spongebob gets to work using the road, and the postal service (Golgi Apparatus) uses it to transport things to other parts of Bikini Bottom.
Mitochondria
The mitochondria's function is to create energy through cellular respiration for the cell to use. It also has its own DNA

Without the mitochondria, the cell would be unable to perform certain actions in the cell, along with cellular respiration.
The Krusty Krab is the mitochondria of Bikini Bottom. It produces food (energy) for the people of Bikini Bottom, who keep the city functioning by doing their jobs. The Krusty Krab also has its own set of blueprints so it can divide and make a duplicate Krusty Krab whenever necessary which is why the Chum Bucket will never be able to compete
Lysosomes
Function: Using digestive enzymes, lysosomes get rid of poorly functioning macromolecules.
Without lysosomes, the cell would be a big garbage dump of dysfunctional macromolecules. The cell would be overrun with disease as well because there would be nothing to get rid of it.
Nematodes, who destroy anything dead or dysfunctional in their path by eating it, resemble lysosomes. They almost completely digested the Krusty Krab when it wasn't producing food fast enough!
Golgi Apparatus
The Golgi Apparatus is the center of manufacturing, warehousing, sorting, and shipping. Products of the Endoplasmic Reticulum are modified and stored and then sent to other destinations.
If the Golgi wasn't functioning, then the proteins wouldn't be transported to the other parts of the cell and as a result, the other parts of the cell wouldn't function properly because they didn't receive the proteins as well as other products.
The Bikini Bottom postal office represents the golgi apparatus since the postal service sends mail to other parts of Bikini Bottom.
Nucleus
The nucleus contains most of the genes in the eukaryotic cell. Within the nucleus, DNA is organized into chromosomes. The nucleus acts as the control center of the cell.
If the nucleus wasn't functioning properly, then the cell cannot function because the nucleus is in charge of everything that goes on in the (eukaryotic) cell.
Nucleolus
A structure in the nucleus, which contains rRNA along with ribosomal proteins that are imported from the site of rRNA synthesis and ribosomal subunit assembly.
If the nucleolus didn't function properly, then ribosomes wouldn't be produced, which means that proteins wouldn't be made.
If the Rough ER wasn't working, then secretory proteins cannot be produced and they won't be able to be transported to the Golgi Apparatus.
Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum
The Smooth ER performs processes which include: synthesis of lipids, metabolism of carbohydrates, and detoxification of drugs and poisons.
If the Smooth ER wasn't functioning, then lipids wouldn't be produced and it wouldn't be able to detoxify poisonous substances.
In the kitchen of Krusty Krab's, Spongebob (the ribosome) creates the Krabby Patties, which is essential for the Krusty Krab business to flourish.
Vesicles
A bubble-like membranous structure that is used to transport cellular products to different parts of the cells.
If the vesicles didn't function, then they wouldn't be able to carry let alone transport cellular products around the cell.
The boat cars are used to transport the people to different parts of Bikini Bottom.
Mr. Krabs chooses to hire and train all of his workers. He knows the ingredients used in the Krabby Patty, but he taught Spongebob (the ribosome) how to make the Krabby Patties (proteins).
Vacuoles
Vacuoles are the storage bubbles of the cell. Vacuoles store food and nutrients in order for the cell to survive. They also store waste products in order to protect the cell.
If the vacuoles weren't functioning, then there would be no place to store food, nutrients, and waste products.
The Patty Vault is an enormous metal box that contains thousands of Krabby Patties.
Inside Mr. Krabs' office, there's the safe with the Krabby Patty Formula as well as Krabs' money inside. Mr. Krabs is the boss of the entire Krusty Krab and controls everything that goes on. Mr. Krabs can also access the kitchen from his office to check on Spongebob.
