The Political Spectrum
an extreme conservative; an opponent of progress or liberalism
: Wants change also, but wants to retreat into the past and
restore the order of things the way they used to be
a reactionary believes that it is moral for a man to be particularly attached to his kin and his culture
Politically right on the political spectrum
A Reactionary is a rational moralist combating cultural and political insanity
reactionaries are Liberals with more extreme
Reactionaries are conservatives with more extreme views
political principles focused on altering social structures through revolutionary means and changing value systems in fundamental ways
support a revolution to bring about the desired change.
They believed in the abolition of slavery
They advocated for the civil rights of people who had recently been freed.
They also disagreed largely with Andrew Johnson's policies.
Politically left on the Political spectrum
Favorable to progress or reform, as in political or religious affairs.
government action to achieve equal opportunity and equality for all
It is the duty of the government to alleviate social ills and to protect civil liberties and individual and human rights

Against death penalty
For Same-sex Marriage
Support Welfare including long-term welfare
believe in personal responsibility, limited government, free markets, individual liberty, traditional American values and a strong national defense
The role of government should be to provide people the freedom necessary to pursue their own goals
