Authors Point
Mrs. Collins wrote this science fiction novel as a preview of what may happen in the future to us if we keep living and putting soo much emphasis on the unimportant things/immoral things. She raises several good points about how people see things in diverse backgrounds about whats moral/immoral/right/wrong
The book shows how bad things could be with authoritative government. (controlling people with violence (ex. wood fire), separating people based on SES/wealth(ask), giving government complete power no votes, and if crossed they would pay. (give ex.)
If you get the right people to like you they can send you different things to help you survive. Do you think it’s right to only help people if you like them? What about work, brother and sisters who don’t get along?
Lastly standing up for yourself.
