I have gained my cooking skills through my mother, who cooks for us all the time, so there was no one better to learn from than her in the actual kitchen that she cooks in everyday.
To make these white chocolate chip cookies I had to first put a whole stick of butter in a mixing bowl and preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. I had to wait for the half a cup of butter to soften because I had to take it out of the refrigerator. After the butter finally melted I had to put in a quarter cup and two tablespoons of white sugar. I then put in a quarter cup and two tablespoons of brown sugar. After the sugars go into the bowl I put in a half teaspoon of vanilla extract. I put the sweet ingredients in the mixing bowl first so the cookies will come out sweeter. After the sugars I put in one cup and two tablespoons of all-purpose flour. After the flower I put in half a teaspoon of baking soda. I then added a half a cup of salt and one egg to the mixing bowl of ingredients. Once all of the ingredients are in the bowl you mix the ingredients until thoroughly combined. You can either mix the bowl by hand or by a food mixer. As you mix you add in the chocolate chips to the mix, the color flavor is your choice. After you mix all of the ingredients well use a spoon of some sort and scoop out the cookie dough from the mixing bowl and put them on ungreased cookie sheets and bake them for nine to eleven minutes. After baking these chocolate chip cookies take them out and put them on a plate to cool and once they are so eat them and enjoy. 273 Words

The first thing that I had to do for these pizza rolls is that I had to preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. I then had to get out mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce and a crescent roll container. I had to first take out the crescent roll dough and instead of rolling them in their normal formation I had to combine two of them into a rectangle so I had four rectangles instead of eight triangles. After combining the dough to make the rectangles I had to take a half a cup of tomato sauce and spread it evenly on the four crescent rectangles. After spreading the sauce I had to spread one and a half cups of the mozzarella cheese evenly on the rectangles. Once I put the cheese on the rectangles I had to roll them up and and cut them evenly into four pieces. Once I cut the rolls I put them in the preheated oven for twelve minutes. After they were done baking I put them on a plate to cool and eat.
For chex mix you have to preheat the oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. You need to have nine cups of chex cereal, one cup of peanuts, one cup of pretzels, six tablespoons of melted butter, one tablespoon seasoned salt, a quarter teaspoon of onion powder, three quarters of a teaspoon of garlic powder, and two tablespoons Worcestershire sauce. I had to wait to melt the butter again because it was in the refrigerator. Once you melt the butter you have to combine all of the dry ingredients into a mixing bowl. After you combine the dry ingredients you combine the seasoning ingredients into another bowl with the butter. After combining the seasoning ingredients spread the dry ingredients on a jelly roll pan. Once you spread the dry ingredients poor the sauces and spread. Once everything is pored and spread onto the pan bake it for an hour and stir it every fifteen minutes. Once they are done take them out of the oven and scoop them into a bowl or a cup and eat it. 175 Words
For these muffins you have to preheat the oven 400 degrees Fahrenheit. After I preheated the oven I had to get two cups of all-purpose flour, a half a cup of sugar, three teaspoons of baking powder, a half a teaspoon of salt, three quarter cups of milk, a third of a cup of oil and one egg that is beaten. Once I gathered these ingredients I had to combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a medium bowl and mix them together well. After I combined these ingredients well enough I had to then combine the milk, oil and the egg into a smaller bowl and beat those well enough. After I mixed all of these ingredients then I a had to create a "well" in the dry ingredients. Once that was done I poured the liquid ingredients into this well all at once. After that I stirred until the dry ingredients are just moistened. After the stirring I divided the muffin batter evenly into greased muffin cups. I baked them for about twenty-two minutes and once the baking was done I scooped the muffins out and I put them on a plate to eat. 198 Words
To make these pancakes I had to gather one and a half cups of all-purpose flour, three and a half teaspoons of baking powder, one teaspoon of salt, one tablespoon of white sugar, one and a quarter cup of milk, one egg and three table spoons of melted butter. I had to wait a little while to melt the butter because I had to get it out of the refrigerator once again. Once I the butter was soft enough to use I had to sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a large bowl. I had to make a well in the center and pour in the milk, eggs and melted butter. Once these ingredients were added I had to mix it all until it was smooth. Once it is all mixed together I had to heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium high heat. After I heated the pan I had to scoop the batter onto the griddle. I used about a half a cup for each pancake. I had to keep flipping them over and over again until they were brown on both sides. Once all of the pancake batter was used up I served the pancakes with syrup. 205 Words
To make these chocolate cupcakes you have to preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. I had to get a one and half tablespoons of butter. I had to wait for the butter to soften again because it was in the refrigerator. Once you do that you have to get two-thirds of a cup of all-purpose flour, one-eighth of a teaspoon of baking soda, one teaspoon of baking powder, a quarter cup and two tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder, one-eighth of a teaspoon of salt, three quarters of a cup of white sugar, one egg, a quarter teaspoon of vanilla extract and a half cup of milk. Once you gathered all of these ingredients you have to line a muffin pan with paper foil liners. After you line the muffin pan you have to sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa and salt. After you sift these ingredients together you just set the mix aside for the time being. The next step is to take a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. Once that is done add the egg and beat it well once you add it. After you put in the egg stir in the vanilla. After the vanilla add the flour mixture from before alternately with the milk and beat it well. After all of the ingredients are fully mixed together take that batter and fill the muffin cups until they are three quarters of the way full. Bake the chocolate muffin batter for fifteen to seventeen minutes in the preheated oven. Once they are done put the muffins on a plate and serve warm.
To make this sweet cornbread you have preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Once you preheat the oven you have to get one cup of all-purpose flour, one cup of yellow cornmeal, two-thirds of a cup of white sugar, one teaspoon of salt, three and a half teaspoons of baking powder, one egg, 1 cup of milk and one third cups vegetable oil. After collecting all of the ingredients you have to spray a nine inch round cake pan. After spraying the pan you have to combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder in a large mixing bowl. Stir in the egg, milk and vegetable oil until everything is combined well. Once everything is mixed together put the batter in a the pan that you greased earlier. Bake the batter in the preheated oven for twenty-two minutes. Once the cornbread is done baking take it out of the oven and serve warm. 155 Words
Football shaped Cookie Truffles
To make these football shaped truffle cookies I had to get six ounces of prepared cookies, preferably chocolate, four ounces of semi-sweet chocolate and three ounces of room temperature cream cheese. Once I got these ingredients I had to crush the cookies in a food processor to very fine crumbs. Once the cookies were in fine crumbs I poured them into a mixing bowl and added the cream cheese. Using the back of a sturdy spoon I creamed the cream cheese into the cookie crumbs. Once everything was completely mixed together I formed footballs by rolling a tablespoon of the cream cheese-cookie mixture into a ball with my hands and pinching the ends out to make them into a football shape. Once the footballs shapes were made I placed the balls on a wax paper lined baking sheet and I refrigerated it them for ten minutes. While the footballs were chilling I had to melt the chocolate from before on a double boiler. Once the chocolate was melted and the footballs were taken out of the refrigerator I had to dip them into the chocolate and turn them a few times so the entire football would be covered in chocolate. Once I felt like the footballs had enough chocolate on them I took them out with a fork so the excess chocolate would drain off. After that I put the footballs back on the wax paper and I let the chocolate set for fifteen minutes. Once the chocolate was frozen on the truffles I finished off these footballs by adding actual football lines to them with piped royal icing. 269 Words
To make these muffin frittatas you need to preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Once you preheat the oven you need to gather four eggs, one-third cup of milk, one-eighth teaspoon of salt, one-eighth teaspoon of pepper, three quarters to a full cup of shredded cheddar cheese and one and three quarter cups of chopped assorted vegetables. Once you have gathered the ingredients you have to beat the four eggs, milk, salt and pepper in a medium bowl until they are blended well. Once those ingredients are blended add the cheese and the assorted vegetables and keep mixing those until they are blended well too. After everything is blended spoon the frittata mix evenly into greased muffin cups, about one quarter cup each. Once the mix is put into the muffin cups bake them in the preheated oven for about twenty-one minutes. Once the frittatas are done baking put them on a rack to cool for five minutes. Once the frittatas are cool enough remove them from the cups and serve warm. 173 Words
Chicken Stir Fry
To make this chicken stir fry I had to obtain two cups of uncooked white rise, one boneless chicken breast, two cups of vegetables such as cauliflower, broccoli, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, carrots, etc. For the sauce I had to get four tablespoons of soy sauce, one teaspoon of sesame oil, two green onions, finely chopped, four teaspoons of cornstarch and eight teaspoons of water. Once I obtained the ingredients I had to make the rice according to the directions on the box. Once the rice was made I had to wash and chop the vegetables and I had to set those aside. Once the vegetables were chopped I had to slice the boneless chicken breast into thin slices. When the chicken was sliced I had to stir the sauce ingredients together and cook them in a sauce pan until it was thickened. Once I made the sauce I had to saute the chicken over medium-high heat in a skillet using one tablespoon of oil until it was no longer pink. Once the chicken was cooked I removed it from the skillet and covered it. After covering the chicken I Sauteed the vegetables over medium high heat until they were tender. Once everything was cooked I added the chicken and the sauce to the skillet with the vegetables and I cooked them all together until it was thick. Once everything was done I served the chicken, vegetable and sauce combination over the cooked rice. 244 Words
To make these raspberry thumbprints you have to preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Once you preheat the oven you have to get a half a cup of softened butter. I had to wait a while to melt the butter again because it was in the refrigerator for a while. You also have to gather one quarter cup of brown sugar that is packed, one-third cup of white sugar, one teaspoon of vanilla extract, three tablespoons of milk, one and a half cups of all-purpose flour, a quarter cup of corn starch, a quarter cup of mini chocolate chips, and raspberry jam after you put the thumbprint in the cookie. Once all of the ingredients are gathered you have to mix together the softened butter, the brown sugar and the white sugar. Once those first three ingredients are mixed together well you have to add the vanilla and the milk together at the same while you are mixing the previous ingredients. After these five ingredients are mixed together well add the flour and keep mixing. Once the flour is added add in the cornstarch and keep mixing well. Once the cornstarch is added and everything is mixed well take the cookie dough in a spoon, roll them in a ball shape and put them on a cookie sheet. Once all of the cookie dough is on the cookie sheet literally lightly put your thumb in the middle of the cookie dough balls to make the thumbprint. Once all of the thumbprints are made take some raspberry jam and according to how big the thumbprints are in each cookie put the amount of jam accordingly in the cookie dough. Once the raspberry jam is in the cookie dough bake the cookies for twelve minutes. Once the raspberry thumbprints are baked take them out of the oven and put them on a plate to serve. 319 Words
To make these breakfast burritos I had to gather four flour tortillas, four eggs, one large tomato that is diced, a half pound of sausage, one and a half cups of shredded hash brown potatoes, one cup of shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese, and one cup of salsa. Once these ingredients are obtained I had to cook the ground sausage in a pan, add the potatoes and cook them until brown. Once those two ingredients are cooked well enough drain the fat from the pan. Once the fat is drained warm the tortillas according to the package's directions. Once the tortillas are warm enough scramble the eggs. Once that is completed divide all of the ingredients evenly among four tortillas. Once all of the ingredients are evenly on the tortillas season them with the salsa. Once the salsa is on the burritos fold the tortillas and serve them immediately. 149 Words
