Rise of Trade and Towns Climate Change Hotter climate allowed crops to grow faster people were able to Cultivate more land. An increase in horsepower because of agricultural innovation. Population increased due to the increase in food production from 30 million to 42 million Trade fairs brought an end to self sufficient manors. Guilds A guild was an association of people who worked in the same occupation.
There are merchant guilds and craft guilds Guilds made a difference with the way businesses were run; they enforced standard quality, and created a need for large accounts.
