My great grandmother passed it down to my grandmother who then passed it to my mother and on to me.

Kate's Family Tradition
How this tradition was passed down to me
2 cups butter at room temperature
1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup rice flour
1/2 teaspoon of salt
Cream butter well, Blend in sugar, cream thoroughly, Combine flours and gradually blend into creamed mixture.
Press into a ball and knead lightly on a floured
board until smooth
Roll dough out to 1/4-1/2 inch thickness
and cut into desired shapes
Bake at 275 degrees for about
45 mins or until faintly brown
Let it cool then
decorate
