Gambit Cricket Kowal 1990: Marvel Creates Gambit Gambit first had a small appearance in Uncanny X-Men Annual #14, but fully appeared in Uncanny X-Men #266 just weeks later in August of the same year.
He was created by Chris Claremont and Jim Lee, the former the writer, the latter the artist. His last appearance was in Gambit Vol. 5 #3, September 26th. Gambit Vol. 5 #4 will be released on October 24th. Gambit's Early History Abandoned at a hospital at birth, Remy LeBeau was raised in New Orleans by the Thieves' Guild. He spent his early childhood as a street thief, but got caught trying to pickpocket Jean-Luc LeBeau, patriarch of the Theives' Guild. He was then taken in by Jean-Luc, and became a master thief. Attempting to reconcile the feuding Assassins' and Thieves' guilds, he married Bella Donna Boudreaux, granddaughter of the head assassin. Aliases: Death, Robert Lord, Le Diable Blanc, the Ragin' Cajun.
Hair: Auburn
Eyes: Red irises on black sclera
Associated Characters: Wolverine and Rogue, X-men in general Joining the X-Men During his wanderings after exile, he encountered a de-aged and powerless Storm, and helped her escape from the Shadow King. Afterwards, the young amnesiac Storm, who had reverted to thieving to stay alive, joined Gambit, and she eventually brought him back to the X-Men. Wolverine didn't trust the Cajun, which led to a Danger Room battle between the two. Mutant Abilities Gambit can charge items with kinetic energy so they explode on contact. He also has a hypnotic charm. Kinetic Energy Kinetic energy is the energy which an object possesses due to its motion.
