Absolute location: The city is geographically located at 22 degrees, 54 minutes south latitude and 43 degrees 12 minutes west longitude.
The Maracanã Stadium is located at Avenida Presidente Castelo Branco, s/n - Maracanã, Rio de Janeiro - RJ, 20271-130, Brazil.
Landforms- Sugar Loaf mountain, Tijuca forest, and Corcavado.
Climate- Rio De Janeiro is in a tropical climate near the Tropic of Capricorn. The temperature stays mostly warm all year round and the days are mostly sunny.
Vegetation- orchids, Japanese cherry trees,
Wildlife- In the Tijuca Forest trails you can spot many common animals such as the Marmoset monkeys, Toucans, and the Plain Parakeet.
They depend on it: Brazilians depend on the Amazon River for water, fertile soil for good crops to get money, and the trees to give them oxygen.

The Atlantic ocean forms Rio De Janeiro's east coast.
Rio is in Brazil, northeast of Sao Paulo, and east of Sao Joao de Meriti.
The official language in Rio is portuguese. There is no official religion of Brazil but over 70% are Roman Catholic. Brazilians believe in working hard and playing harder and they love sports, especially soccer, foot volley and working out. Cleanliness is very important to a Brazilian. They usually brush their teeth several times a day and shower or bathe at least twice a day. Their heaviest meal is at lunch and when they are at home the television is always on. A lot of people enjoy happy hours after a hard day of work, Brazilians love to socialize and are known for being happy laid back people.

Rio De Janeiro is part of the southeast region of Brazil. Rio is divided up into four districts, with each district having several neighborhoods. The Centro district is located in downtown Rio. The South Zone district has the most famous beaches and is where most of the touristic sights and hotel rooms are. The Zona Norte district is where the Maracana Stadium is located. The Zona Oeste district is also where beaches and shopping areas are.
They modify and adapt to it: Brazilians modify and adapt to their environment by building cities with concrete, growing crop plants for food and admiration, deforestation, and by using the slash and burn farming method in order to fertilize the soil.
