Speakeasy: Illegal bar during Prohibition.
Bootlegger: Someone who smuggled alcohol into the U.S.
Great Migration North and West: Time period when African Americans moved North and West looking for better opportunities and jobs to escape discrimination.
Harlem Renaissance: Time period when African American artists, writers, and musicians based in Harlem revealed the freshness and variety of their culture.
