The Mental Health Association of South Central Kansas The Mental Health Association of South Central Kansas has been serving the Sedgwick County area since 1957. We are a 501 non profit organization, a United Way agency and an affiliate of COMCARE.

Mission, Vision, Values

Mission: Empower and assist youth, families and adults
in our community to achieve optimal mental
health and wellness through education, advocacy
and service.

Vision: Achievement of a just, humane, and healthy society
where all people are treated with respect, dignity and the
opportunity to achieve their full potential free from stigma and
prejudice.

Values: Consumer & Family Drive Services, Evidence Based Practices,
Prevention of Emotional Problems, Cultural Diversity, Education Opportunities. Today the Mental Health Bell rings out hope for
improving mental health and achieving victory over
mental illness. Mental Health Association offers Housing
Residential Care offers housing options that
emphasizes on personal relationships and basic
life skills training. Housing programs include Group
Homes, Transitional Housing, Independent Housing
and Senior Housing. Rehabilitation Services
Include daily living skills, social/leisure skills, personal hygiene skills, meal preparation and medication management. Aging Services
Senior Companion, Senior Outreach
and Elder Abuse Prevention Parent Support Services
Understand a childs diagnosis,
Advocate for their child in School, Access community resources, Address juvenile court proceedings, learning and implement alternative parenting techniques. Compeer Menoring/Friendships
Compeer is a program that matches caring, qualified
and trained volunteers with adults and children in need
of supportive friendships. Choose the type of match you
want, spend 1-2 hours a week and enjoy shared interest and
activities. Prevention -Pathways
Pathways provide early intervention programs for the
youth at schools, preschools, camps, community centers and
treatment facilities free of charge. The Counseling Center
Offers Individual, Family, Group Therapy, In Home Therapy, Marriage, Family, Substance Abuse Counseling. Anger Management, Grief, Loss, Depression, Anxiexy, Child and Elderly Issues. To Volunteer or for more information on services contact
