Drinking in the US
By : Ella
and Maggie

Our proposal
We want to lower the drinking age from 21 to 18. Most countries have the age of 18. It is in our human nature to do thing that we are not supposed to do. We feel that it would be safer.
Perhaps that is the secret, it’s not what we do, so much as why we do it.- Tyrion Lannister

You have to be this old to drink in this country
Ireland: 18
England: 18
Mexico: 18
USA: 21
France: 16
Canada: 18-19
China: 18
Barbuda: 10-15
Arstria: 16-17
About 80 percent of college student drink

So as you see many country's have a lower drinking age of 21.
Most of them drink Illegally and so we feel it would be safer for everyone to lower the drinking age from 21 to 18.
The average (mean) minimum legal drinking age around the globe is 15.9. The majority of countries have set the drinking age at 18. In fifty countries the minimum age is lower than 18 and in 12 countries it is higher than 18.
“New Hampshire, Minnesota and California have been reviewing pieces of legislation that would bring their state laws in line with much of the rest of the world’s – which would mean lowering the legal drinking age from 21 to 18. The overarching logic concerns curbing underage binge drinking and getting teens to relax about fake IDs and to drink socially, the way Europe does.”
It is in our human nature to do things that we aren't allowed to do.
