GOTHIC HORROR Gothic horrors started as a fictional book, titled "The Castle of Otranto" and subtitled "A Gothic story" by the English author Horace Walpole in 1764. Answers ELEMENTS OF GOTHIC HORROR Frankenstein is a noval written by Mary Shelly the first edition was published london 1818 and the second edition was published in France 1823 Because it allows people to think that they are in another world and not just think that everything is just reality. Usually the setting is a castle or some ruins. The characters are an old family that have a lot of history or they have a curse or something like that.
