Jordan,Gavin, Shahmeer In 1923 Miguel Primo De Rivera became dictator of spain after organizing a military coup. The League of Nations was formed in 1919 in order to promote international co-operation and to achieve world wide peace. There were 26 articles included in the League of Nations that provided a set of rules for the Members of the League to follow. On October 29th, 1929 the US stock market crashed. This led to economies collapsing around the world, because the world economy was very interdependent, the collapse of the US economy caused a ripple effect around the world. At the time, unemployment reached an all time high as over 100,000 American Companies were forced to close. Britain's dominions fought for Britain and sustained heavy losses in World war I. As a result of this Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa gained greater independence after the war was over. Due to their contributions and sacrifices. After many revisions, the Treaty of Versailles was finally agreed on by the League of Nations. The Treaty decided what payments Germany was required to pay to the Allied nations as recompense for the war damages. Woodrow Wilson's Fourteen Points were his outlined planned for achieving peace after World War 1. His 14th point was to create the league of nations, although the U.S never became a member. The Zeppelin was invented in Germany as an aircraft that coud fly higher than planes. It was used for bombing runs during WW1 and as transportation. King Tut's tomb was discovered in November 1922. It was the first time the tomb had been seen in 3,000 years of its existence.
