Transcript of THUGG LIFE

1. I think satellites are the most important space exploration technology because they helped scientists study all kinds of things about space like stars, planets, and e.t.c even more.

2. Satellites helped us see space in a different way not like other technology does.

WHY THE MOST IMPORTANT
(PART 2)
WHAT ARE SATELLITES
WHAT SATELLITES DO
Some satellites take pictures and get a birds eye view of our planet, other planets, the sun, black holes even faraway galaxies and other objects in space while orbiting them and this help scientists better understand the solar system and the universe. Other satellites beam signals all around the world. What type of signals, you might ask? All types of signals, T.V signals, phone signals and more.

THANK YOU!
3. They inspired us and still help us to reach our goal to explore the universe

4. Satellites started the Space Race
1. Sputnik 1 was the first satellite ever launched it was launched by the Soviet Union on 4th October 1957.

2. Sputnik 2, launched in November 1957, carried the first living creature into orbit, a dog named Laika, which sadly died.

3. After Sputnik 1 was launched the event lead to the start of the 'Space Race' between the Soviet Union and the United States.

4. The speed of a satellite is 17,500 mph (28,200 km/h).

5. Satellites are usually launched on rockets into space , but not always
A satellite is a moon, planet or machine that orbits a planet or star. There are two types of satellites natural and artificial. Today I will be mainly talking about artificial satellites but some examples of natural satellites are the Earth and the moon, because Earth orbits the sun and the moon orbits the Earth, but those are examples of natural satellites Usually, the word "satellite" refers to a machine that is launched into space and moves around Earth or any other random object in space which is called an artificial satellite.
