Different graphs are used for different purposes. What is a graph? Bar Charts A bar chart is used to compare. For example the average monthly rainfall. They are used to COMPARE data. Which month had the highest rainfall? In which month was the lowest rainfall? Pie Charts Pie charts are used to show how things divide up. For example the favourite colour of the students in a class. A Line Graph A Line Graph is used to show continually changing data such as temperature. Temperature increases or decreases gradually, it does not jump from one to the other. http://pie-creator.overgrid.com/
