What is a response paper?
First paragraph- introduction
Second and third paragraphs- body
Expresses and opinion or reaction to the reading
agreement or disagreement
reaction to the text in relation to personal experience
reaction to the text in relation to things you've read in other texts
your analysis of the author and audience

Read the article and underline relevant information
Identify the ideas you agree and disagree with
Complete some or all of the following statements about your reading:

Write and introduction sentence stating the title of the text you read and the author
Write 2-3 sentences summarizing what you read
Write one sentence explaining what you agree or disagree with (the focus of the paper)
These paragraphs must support your idea, follow this pattern:
summary sentence that leads to next paragraph.
You can structure the paragraphs in two ways
Fourth paragraph- conclusion
The conclusion is a summary of what you discussed in your paper. You could add predictions about the topic, but NEVER add new information!

- 250-300 words
-Font type: Calibri #12 for headings #11 for text
-1.5 spaces (between lines)
-Do not justify text
-Do not put it in a folder
