W.W. Jacobs' story "The Monkey's Paw" is one of the most famous tales of our time

It has become a part of our pop culture
What literary device? Film Adaptations of Books Often, popular stories are adapted for the big screen

Can you think of a movie that is based on a book? The Assignment Create a movie poster advertising "The Monkey's Paw"

Should be eye-catching, creative, and should accurately represent the story Requirements You will create original art that represents the main ideas and themes of "The Monkey's Paw"

Include at least one main graphic

Title of the story and author's name should be clearly visible

Requirements (Continued) At least one "review" quote from a critic about the story
Should entice the viewer and catch their interest

Requirements (Continued) A "tagline" for the story
Memorable, catchy slogan that leaves the viewer guessing Requirements (Continued) A three-to-five sentence summary of the story "The Monkey's Paw"

Should be attached to or written on the back of your poster
Must include parts of the plot and important events
Can be handwritten or typed, must be neat Due Date and Grading Due date: In class on Tuesday, February 19th

Will be a 60-point homework grade
